| Eh, I thought I'd post a few pics of some mods I've done to the Z in the last couple of weeks. I'm sure this is old-hat for most of you, but pics are always fun, right? I did a few suspension mods, including KYB AGX 8-way (rear) and 4-way (front) adjustable shocks with Eibach lowering springs. It's been said before, but I'll say it again. If you need new shocks, there is NO reason you shouldn't get these. Not a whole lot more than OEM, with tons more adjustment. Who needs the in-car adjustment, anyway =) I also threw in some ST anti-sway bars, midori-style upper arms and SPL adjustable tension rods. Great stuff! I decided I finally wanted to turn the boost up, so my last *safety* upgrade was a set of these: .
Thanks Z1, for the intercoolers. They are the Stillen units, and are HUGE when compared to the oem units, as you can see. .
Another view. .
Oem IC fins above ^ .
Stillen IC fins above ^ What a difference! . I also decided to do the Carbon Canister removal using Robo's write-up (thanks!), and removed the OEM coolant overflow tank in favor of a Moroso unit. Credit for that goes to ChrisNJ's write-up. Seems like a lot of people have done this in the last few weeks.
There's a comparison shot for those who haven't seen them. .
Bad shot of the overflow tank installed, and CC removed. Doing both of these opens up a TON of room behind the driver-side IC to let it breath easier. . To further improve airflow through the IC's (and after reading it *somewhere* on tt.net), I cut louvers into the fender liners behind the IC's. The theory is it will create a low pressure zone behind the IC's so the air will more readily flow through them, instead of being trapped behind them after hitting un-modified fender liners. If I find out who made the original post (it was a long while back), I'll post a link.
After cutting and bending. .
Drivers-side installed. I'd imagine it would help; and hey, it's free =) . I took out the headlights and cleaned the lenses. I higkly recommend this. Even after 50k miles, they had collected a fair amount of filmy residue. Glare guards were also removed from the foglights.
. A few pics after the installation:

. and to top it off, the new vanity plates arrived last week =)
.
Thanks to Coz, SPL Parts, Z1, and tt.net for the excellent write-ups and search function. Just thought I'd share =) Oh, and 17psi is a ton of fun... ~Mike
